CAF Vouchers & Charity Cards

We received the following email from CAF:

 

We are writing to remind you that from 1 August 2026, we will no longer be processing donations made using CAF Vouchers (also known as Charity Cheques) or CharityCards. CAF Donors have already been advised to stop using CAF Vouchers and CharityCards as a donation method from 1 May.

Some charities choose to process their Voucher and CharityCard donations online through CAF Donate, while others do not. Because of this, the change may affect you differently but, whatever your situation, we are here to make the transition as smooth as possible.


Why are they being phased out?

Charities and donors have told us that voucher processing can cause delays, often due to incomplete vouchers or unavailable funds. By focusing on online and phone donations, we can help ensure donations reach you faster and with less administration. This change aligns with a wider programme of digital improvements we are introducing over the coming years.


What you can expect
  • From 1 May 2026: Donors should stop using Vouchers and CharityCards. If you continue to receive them, we will process them as normal up until August.
  • From 1 Aug 2026: CAF will no longer accept Vouchers or CharityCards and all donors will be encouraged to use other methods.
