Welcome to Junior Gateway
(Juniors)
Our Junior Gateway club is a social leisure group, for children aged 5 to 15,
that meet together on Saturday mornings during term times.

We run between 10-12, with three different groups meeting on alternating weeks.
As a guide, the age groups are 5-7, 7-11, and 11-15, with 12 children attending each group.

Juniors is currently a KCC commissioned group supporting children with learning difficulties, additional needs and disabilities,
enabling Maidstone Mencap Charitable Trust to meet their vision of “making a positive difference”,
“enabling and empowering children and young adults to achieve their true potential” by "our provision of high quality social and leisure activities and opportunities within our caring environment.”

With guidance and support from our management structure and a wonderful team of volunteers,
we are able to offer a high level of care, and 1:1 where appropriate to meet the individual needs of all the children.

Our aim is to offer a fun social environment, with activities and resources to provide a variety of play opportunities,
including arts and crafts, sensory and soft play.
Who?
5-15 year-olds with learning disabilities.

When?
Term-time only: Saturdays
10am – 12pm

How much?
£12 per session from September 2023
